Haiphong Municipal Police Department paid a working visit to San Francisco, California, The United States of America

On October 07th - 08th, 2024, under permission of leaders of Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the local authority, Major General Vu Thanh Chuong - Director of the Hai Phong Municipal Police Department, leading a delegation of Hai Phong Municipal Police Department, paid a working visit to The San Francisco Police Department, California, the United States of America.

At the meeting, the two sides openly informed each other of several news on their duty of security and order maintenance, sharing hands-on experience during task performing; the efforts for port safeguarding; foreigner management; preventing and combating several types of crimes, especially drug-related ones; drug addict treatment and recovery; the implementation of cutting edge technologies, especially artificial intelligence, into fields of work of both sides in the years to come.

Within the framework of the visit, the delegation also met Ambassador Hoang Anh Tuan - Consul General of Viet Nam Consulate General in San Francisco, California, the United States. He delightfully briefed the outcome of the working visit of Party General Secretary and State President To Lam in the USA recently; orientations for the bilateral ties in the coming years; goals and commitments for further international cooperation of Vietnamese People’s Public Security Forces in general, Hai Phong Police Forces in particular.
